While the art of taking photos has seen incredible progress in the last 100 years or so, the way we view photos has stayed mostly the same. We look at photos on screens instead of paper these days, but apart from that things have hardly changed. Compared to the old standard photo print size of 4" x 6" modern smartphones have an even smaller display area, with photo sharing services like Instagram only utilizing an even smaller square area of the screen.
From this general dissatisfaction came the idea of awesomealbum. The goal is to find new and fun ways to explore our photographic memories. After all, what are memories worth if they are not revisited?
